The steel silos of Shenzhen Energy Group at Xianghuang Banner applied the network-based construction method and scheduled the construction progress properly by seizing the key lines and optimizing resources. The construction plan was formulated according to the characteristics of the steel silos at Xianghuang Banner. The alternate operation method was used and construction tasks were assigned to specific individuals, based on a reward and punishment mechanism in place. Before the preparations for the construction, the Xianghuang Banner Project Department had timely communicated with the constructor, the design institute, the quality supervision department, and the supervisory authority to clear the surroundings of the construction site. The track and management measures were intensified and efforts were made to achieve one-time completion to avoid repetition or commutative damage of finished products, so as to secure the general construction period. Strengthen the unified deployment, management, repair and maintenance of equipment. Keep all kinds of machinery and equipment in good condition, the main equipment wearing parts are adequate, and consider the backup of key equipment. The Xianghuang Banner Project Department also firmly believed that it could overcome the construction difficulties and build the first large steel silo for Shenzhen Energy Group.
Under the guidance of the owner and the supervisor, the Xianghuang Banner steel silo project has been completed and met the conditions for material input. During the construction in winter, the key to controlling the welding quality is the process control. Project personnel of Yuanfeng collected the weather information before and after the welding, and the welding operation suspended when the relative humidity of the welding area was more than 90%. The welding operation was stopped if the upcoming weather was too atrocious to retain the work. If the welding line already snapped, at least one third of the plate thickness had to be welded before the harsh climate came. Meanwhile, the post-heat treatment and heat insulation measures had to be properly taken. During the construction, the Project Department took various measures to ensure construction safety and environmental protection, and the progress was recognized by the owner and the supervisor.
